Yukiya Tanigawa was born with a weak constitution, and his doctors said he wouldn't reach his twentieth birthday. After his parents died in a traffic accident, his relatives thought of him only as a burden and became estranged to him. Only his cousin Kanae Mizumura and her father stayed to support him. When Yukiya reached his 10th birthday, his condition started to change, and within a year, he was able to walk outside the hospital room. He was sent to "Kisaragi Hospital" to undergo rehabilitation.
